Hi, I followed all the steps. It looks like it’s working good. Is there a way to remove the message in the top left corner?
Also the third line says: “Loading Effect……no effects found!” Is that right?
ThanksOctober 1, 2016 at 11:43 #4698
I am sorry for my late response, I was on holiday:) Anyway, that doesn’t seem right. The message is ok and should disappear after a few seconds, if that’s not the case let me know. And about the effects, at step 18 in the guide, does your Mediator – Pipeline look the same as in the image?October 5, 2016 at 17:05 #4705
I should apologize for the later response also. Real work and stuff around the house got in the way, lol. So I think i may have downloaded the wrong Reshade the first time. I followed your instructions to a T this time. I assume its working, the pipeline image is the same. I do not have the message in the top left portion of the screen. I use your SweetFX settings also. Everything looks good. I think I might have a small jump in FPS also. So thank you for your help. I think this website is a great asset to the ATS community.October 7, 2016 at 15:04 #4706
Good to hear you got it working! If you still are a little bit unsure you can try the following: Bring your truck to a stand still and press F12 once to make a screenshot with Steam, and Printscreen to make a screenshot with ReShade. You’ll find the ReShade screenshot at the same location where your .exe file is located. Compare both screenshots, they should be different as Steam cannot capture the ReShade effects in a screenshot. So you’ll have a before and after. If they are the same than ReShade is not activated.
The FPS boost is a small bonus. I noticed that ReShade is a lot better at the antialias technique than ATS is. So in the guide you disable the ATS SMAA, en enable it in ReShade. The result is almost the same, but since ReShade is more efficient you will gain some FPS.
Thank you for your kind words, this motivates me to put more time into this website. I have a couple guides lined up, but I’m kind of short on time at the moment.October 22, 2016 at 17:30 #4724
Hello there, I’m new here so forgive my naivety but yesterday I took a look at Reshade as it seems very interesting, and I am currently just barely able to achieve a steady 60FPS in ATS due to the game’s poor optimization – I have two GTX 1080s and an i7 but I am playing at a high resolution 3440×1440 monitor.
The guide linked above suggests that the download from reshade must’ve been different at some point. Now, the V3.0.3 of Reshade is just an executable, rather than a .zip file. When ran, you simply select your game and navigate to amtrucks.exe (or whatever game you want to use reshade for), and then select the API (DX9, DX10, OpenGL, etc). I’ve done this for ATS, and the game crashes within about a second of the opening cutscene of the SCS logo.
Did I miss something? Is there another download I should be looking for? ie. the zip file you referred to? Or did I miss something in the guide?

Yes, I noticed they released version 3 sometime ago, not sure when. I still have to edit the article, will make sure to do that tomorrow first thing as I am getting lots of questions about it. The guide on here assumes you are using version 1.1.0f1. You can find it here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jzn2jsb0zt55ci3/AADOiSPtIE4SF-Iqo8cokiqha?dl=0
Let me know if it worked. Your specs should be able to run ATS just fine, are you using a lot of mods?
